Your description of Reflexion Espiritual as a time for meditation is a good start. Historically, the Mayans have been closely connected with the natural energies surrounding them, and it is this consciousness that allows them maintain a balance with nature. Unfortunately, this tradition has faded in recent years. Including time for reflection encourages students to revitalize this cultural practice and value this part of their culture.
