How will my donation be used?
First, thank you for considering making a donation to improve well-being and inspire change in rural Guatemala. Unspecified donations will be used to support programs that are currently in the greatest need of funding. For a specific list of general, everyday needs you can help provide please click here.
It is also possible to specify which program your donation is used to support; simply indicate which program you are supporting when making your donation. Donation categories include: Sponsor a Student, Education fund, Healthcare fund, New Cancuen campus.
Fact: During the past five years, our administrative overhead has averaged less than 15% and every effort is made to minimize administration costs. In fact, many of Ak’ Tenamit’s projects are run by volunteers. Even the smallest donation makes a huge difference- for example, $5 provides medical care for one patient at our clinic and $30 provides textbooks for a student for one year.
