Education Department
At the Fr. Tom Moran High School we are educating almost 500 students from 100 villages during the 2009 school year.

$360 - $30.00 a month will sponsor a child’s education for one year | . |  |
$30.00 will provide text books for a student for one year.. |

$20.00 will provide school supplies for a student for one year. |  |
$30.00 will feed a student three meals a day for one month. ($1.00 per day!!) | |

$75.00 will buy bunk beds for boys or girls dorms. $30.00 WILL buy a mattress. 75% of the students are boarders. CURRENT NEED IS FOR 100 BEDS AND MATTRESSES |

$15.00 will buy a uniform for a student in restaurant vocational training as part of the Tourism diploma. | |
Health Department
Our clinic treats 5000 patients per year. Our health teams visit 41 villages every two months to care for 6000 people. These villages are often a one-hour boat ride followed by a one to two hour hike.

$10.00 will buy medicine for a health clinic patient. 8000 patients are treated annually at the clinic. | . |  |
$15.00 per day will provide a Doctor for the Health Clinic. |

$25.00 will buy administrative and general medical supplies for the Health Clinic for one week. $100.00 for one month |

$120.00 will pay for an emergency medical trip by boat to the nearest hospital – one hour by boat to Puerto Barrios | |
Dental Clinic
 |
$5.00 will provide dental care for a patient at the dental clinic. The dental clinic is on a pontoon boat that is either at the project site or goes up river to a site near villages for dental care. | . |  |
$50.00 will provide fuel for the dental boat for one week. $200.00 for one month |

Village Health Care
Health Care Promoters

$300.00 per month will provide a salary for a health care promoter to travel to a village to provide needed care and education | . |  |
$100.00 will vaccinate 100 children Healthcare promoters visit villages regularly to vaccinate children. |

$50.00 will provide fuel for transportation to send a health care promoter to a village. |  |
$50.00 will buy a water filter for a family. | |

Contact the Guatemalan Tomorrow Fund
The Guatemalan Tomorrow Fund Inc. is the nonprofit (501c3) fundraising arm of Ak' Tenamit. We coordinate all Rotary donations and work team visits to Ak' Tenamit. We transfer earmarked funds to Ak' Tenamit and provide required reports, photos, receipts, etc.
